Now in its fourth year, the Colloquium is a set of convening conversations offering an opportunity to talk together and learn about timely and significant topics at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ and in the field of higher education that influence our mission and experiences.
As we look forward to the 2026-27 academic year, this newsletter is intended to briefly preview institutional initiatives in the upcoming year. We will continue to work on these initiatives with the Executive Council of the faculty, the Staff Council, and/or the Student Government Association through our shared governance processes and look forward to our work together.

Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ will welcome Antionette Priscilla Carroll as the 2026 Social Innovator in Residence, bringing a nationally recognized leader in equity-centered design to campus for a fall 2026 residency focused on trust, community agency, and sustainable systems change.
It is with deep sadness that I share news of the passing of Sam Harris ’58, a member of our alumni family whose life and legacy have left a lasting mark on Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ and in the world.

I am writing today to share that Human Resources will undergo a phased leadership transition beginning in the spring semester. Jana Grimes has, these past five years, led Human Resources through several strategic initiatives and change management efforts, and will remain in the Vice President role until an Associate Vice President is identified and arrives on campus
